Isn’t it weird how in basically every sci fi and every fantasy setting, heterosexuality is still the presumed norm. Weird. Its so pervasive. Almost like we are all deeply steeped in heterosexual ideology. Its not that hard to imagine a world where heterosexuality isn’t the norm honestly. A good world; a better world.
um, actually, given humans’ limited capacity for making children, hetrosexuality has to be more common than homosexuality. scientists now believe homosexuals serve the same evolutionary function as worker and soilder ants. in ants, workers and soilders who don’t have children are the norm, because a single queen is capable of making enough children to sustain the population. theoretically, if fewer hetrosexuals were enough to sustain the population, homosexuality could become more common.
note: I left out stuff like bisexuality for the sake of simplicity, otherwise, I would be here all day.
Dude I’m talking about worlds where there’s like literal magic and science beyond our imagination and you can’t imagine a world where heterosexuality is not the norm?
Lik wizards and mythical creatures totally, or forms of space travel that defy physics. But heterosexuality not being the norm. That’s unimaginable.
